Mescalito Film is an independent film production and distribution company founded in 2011 by Giorgio Beltrame, a former lawyer at the Rome Bar Association, who, after completing a Master’s in Film Art Management, specialized in the development, financing, production, and promotion of audiovisual works.
With a particular focus on documentaries and cinema of the real, Mescalito Film promotes high-quality films that address urgent social, environmental, and cultural issues. Over the years, the company has distributed internationally acclaimed titles such as The Cave by Feras Fayyad (Oscar nominee), They Shall Not Grow Old by Peter Jackson (BAFTA nominee), the three most recent films by Alejandro Jodorowsky (The Dance of Reality, Endless Poetry, Psychomagic, a Healing Art), and the recent Food For Profit by Giulia Innocenzi and Pablo D’Ambrosi, which has become both a cinematic and social phenomenon.
In recent years, the company has reached over 260,000 viewers and organized more than 4,000 screenings in collaboration with over 600 cinemas, festivals, and cultural institutions across Italy, establishing itself as a reference point for independent and documentary cinema.
